Jennifer Gornnert Joins NASC Team as Compliance Specialist
NASC membership continues to grow and we now have 285 Primary Suppliers. With the increase in membership, we also have seen a significant increase in members asking for assistance in completing their audits. We knew we needed to add another team member to help with the workload and we are thrilled to announce that Jennifer Gornnert accepted our offer to join the NASC team as a Compliance Specialist! Jennifer is the former Director of the Division of Regulatory Services for the New Hampshire Department of Agriculture, Markets & Food. If she looks familiar to you, it is because she was also NASC's AAFCO Liaison for several years and has presented at the past two NASC Virtual Conferences. Jennifer earned her BSc. at Penn State University and spent six years teaching high school agricultural education before pivoting her career to a regulatory focus. Jennifer has extensive industry experience in labeling, claims and auditing to various established standards. She started with NASC on October 4 and has already proven to be a valuable asset to our team. You can reach her by email at j.gornnert@nasc.cc or by phone at 760-751-3360 ext. 107. Newly-Audited Members Earn NASC Quality Seal
Congratulations to the following companies for completing their first NASC audit in 2021. Each company has displayed an unwavering commitment to quality and continuous improvement and can now proudly display the NASC Quality Seal on their products and marketing materials!
Ready to schedule your audit?
More retailers than ever are requiring the Quality Seal on supplements they stock, which is good news for NASC members! The Quality Seal differentiates products and provides consumers with peace of mind that they are buying brands they can trust.
If your company is considering its first audit, there are a few things that must be done before you can schedule:
Label review/training with your NASC auditor to ensure your labels are compliant with labeling guidelines and claims allowances
Entry of your products into the NAERS database by your company
QC manual and SOP review by your NASC auditor to ensure you are following NASC cGMPs and are ready for the audit process
Unless your company is a brand-new member, it is likely you have already completed steps 1 and 2. If you're unsure or have questions, please reach out to your assigned auditor to get the ball rolling.
Newly-Audited NASC Welcomes New Preferred Suppliers

(You must be logged into the NASC website to see a supplier's full profile.) Remember, the Preferred Supplier program exists to save your company money and time by vetting and qualifying suppliers so you can accept them without additional documentation required by NASC cGMPs and FSMA.
